Part-Time Child & Adolescent Therapist — 1099 Contractor

The Opportunity

This is a part-time, 1099 independent contractor position — intentionally structured for someone who already has a primary job or alternative source of health benefits and wants to build a meaningful supplemental caseload without the bureaucracy of an agency setting. No quotas. No micromanagement. Just good clinical work with great kids and families.

  • Hours: 10–20 per week (your choice within that range)

  • Schedule: Afternoon/evening preferred; flexible by mutual agreement

  • Compensation: $40/hour

  • Supervision toward LCSW licensure provided for qualifying candidates

What You'll Do

  • Provide individual therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 6–22)

  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation

  • Collaborate with practice leadership as clinically appropriate

  • Optionally co-facilitate social skills groups or creative programming (not required — but it's fun if it interests you)

Who We're Looking For

Required:

  • Active Connecticut licensure as an LCSW or LPC OR MSW with Connecticut licensure eligibility and a need for supervised hours toward LCSW

  • Clinical experience or strong training with children, adolescents, and/or young adults

  • Strong clinical judgment, documentation habits, and communication skills

  • Ability to maintain a consistent afternoon/evening schedule

Preferred:

  • Experience with anxiety, social-emotional challenges, or developmental concerns

  • Interest in group therapy, social skills work, or creative therapeutic modalities

Why This Role Works for the Right Person

This position is particularly well-suited if you:

  • Have a full-time job (school-based, hospital, agency) and want meaningful supplemental clinical hours

  • Recently completed your MSW and are actively accumulating supervised hours toward LCSW licensure

  • Are semi-retired or reducing hours and want to stay clinically active part-time

  • Value autonomy and a low-overhead, no-bureaucracy practice environment

The 1099 structure is a feature, not a limitation — it's designed for the clinician who already has their benefits situation handled and wants flexibility above all.
