I am also passionate about film. I studied both sociology and film at Boston College and have taught filmmaking to students with special needs for twenty years. I believe the filmmaking process has an incredible power to build creativity, confidence and interpersonal skills.
Additionally, this year, in 2025, I am very excited to be expanding the practice to welcome another therapist onto the team as well as a special education teacher. You can read more about these awesome individuals below!

Kelli Moody MED
Education Group Facilitator
Hi, I’m Kelli Moody, and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with your child in my upcoming social skills group! I’ve been passionate about supporting young adults with special needs since 2012, starting at the FOCUS Center for Autism as part of their direct care team. In 2014, I joined Simsbury Public Schools as a certified tutor, and in 2015, I was fortunate enough to become a special education teacher at the Farmington Valley Transition Academy. Over the years, I’ve honed my skills in providing life skills instruction—whether that’s social skills, daily living tasks, or vocational training—especially in real-world, community-based settings. My goal is always to create a safe, supportive space where students can practice, grow, and truly thrive.
In 2024, I co-founded the sociall, LLC, an organization dedicated to offering inclusive, fun, and authentic opportunities for individuals of all abilities to practice social skills, celebrate their strengths, and build confidence. As the communications director and operations manager, I help organize events that allow adults (22 and older) to connect, practice social interactions, and feel empowered within the community.
I hold a Master of Science in Special Education and a Bachelor of Science in Communication, which gives me both the educational background and hands-on experience to truly connect with and support each student. I am committed to meeting every person where they are, embracing their individuality, and creating an environment where they feel valued, respected, and supported as they grow.
